Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026.
This policy applies to DJ system installation services in Essex supplied to consumers and businesses by:

Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 generally give you a 14-day cancellation period for contracts made online, by email, over the telephone or away from our business premises.
The 14-day period normally begins on the day after the contract is made. You do not have to give a reason for cancelling.
To cancel, email us at admin@jaimebeatsystems.co.uk with clear details that you wish to cancel. Please include your name, address, the installation address, and the date of the order where possible. You may also send a written cancellation notice to our address above.
You can use your own wording. Sending your cancellation notice before the 14-day period ends is sufficient.
Starting work during the cancellation period
We will not normally begin installation work during the 14-day cancellation period unless you expressly ask us to do so.
If you ask us to start work during this period and then cancel, you must pay a proportionate amount for the services supplied up to the time you tell us that you are cancelling. This amount will reflect the proportion of the installation service already provided compared with the full service agreed.
If the installation service has been fully completed after you expressly asked us to start during the cancellation period, and you acknowledged that you would lose your cancellation right once the service was fully completed, you may no longer have a statutory right to cancel.
Deposits and payments
Any deposit paid towards an installation forms part of the agreed price. If you cancel within a statutory cancellation period, the deposit will be refunded subject to any lawful proportionate charge for work started at your express request.
If you cancel outside a statutory cancellation period, we will assess the amount refundable by reference to work already carried out, costs properly incurred, equipment ordered, and any other rights you may have under the contract or consumer law.
We will not treat a deposit as automatically non-refundable where the law requires it to be returned.
Equipment ordered to your specification
Where equipment has been ordered or prepared specifically to your requirements or specifications, the statutory cancellation right may not apply to that equipment where an applicable legal exception covers it.
If you cancel after equipment has been ordered to your specification, we may deduct the reasonable cost that we cannot recover, subject to your legal rights. We will explain any proposed deduction and will not charge more than is reasonably justified.
This does not affect your rights if the equipment is faulty, not as described, or unsuitable for its agreed purpose.
Refunds
Where a refund is due, we will make it without undue delay and normally within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice or agreeing that a refund is due.
For a statutory cancellation, we may withhold a refund until equipment supplied to you has been returned, or until you provide evidence that it has been returned, where this applies.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless we agree another method with you. We will not charge a fee for making a refund.
Faulty workmanship and service problems
Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If our installation work is faulty or does not meet the agreed requirements, please contact us as soon as possible. We will normally have the opportunity to inspect and repair or correct the workmanship at no additional charge.
If repair or correction is impossible, is not completed within a reasonable time, or causes you significant inconvenience, you may be entitled to a price reduction. Depending on the circumstances, this may be a partial or full refund.
Nothing in this policy limits any legal rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
Business customers
If you are buying for a business, the statutory 14-day consumer cancellation right may not apply. Your cancellation and refund rights will depend on the contract agreed with us and applicable law.
Please contact us promptly if you need to cancel or change a business installation. We will consider any refund by reference to the work completed, equipment ordered, and costs reasonably incurred.
