Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-12
About these terms
These terms apply to DJ system installation services provided in Essex by Jaime Robert Hession trading as JAIME BEAT SYSTEMS (trading as JAIME BEAT SYSTEMS).
The trader’s contact details are:
- 18 sycamore close, London, e164qp
- admin@jaimebeatsystems.co.uk
These terms apply to bookings made by consumers and businesses. They are effective from 12 October 2026.
Quotes and site surveys
We may provide a quote based on the information you give us. A quote may include installation work, equipment, travel, testing and any other items specifically stated in it.
A quote is not a binding booking unless and until we confirm your booking in accordance with these terms. Quotes are normally based on the conditions and requirements known to us at the time. If a site survey, further information or a change in requirements shows that additional work, equipment or costs are needed, we will tell you before carrying out the additional work where reasonably possible.
A site survey, if agreed, helps us assess access, power, positioning, installation requirements and any relevant site conditions. You must provide accurate information and tell us about any restrictions or requirements that could affect the work.
How a booking is formed
A booking is formed when:
- we have agreed the services and price with you;
- you have provided any information reasonably required for the work;
- any stated deposit or advance payment has been paid; and
- we have confirmed the booking in writing, including by email.
We may decline a booking if the site, requirements or proposed work are unsuitable, unsafe or materially different from the information provided.
Any changes to a confirmed booking must be agreed with us. Changes may affect the price, installation date and the work that can be completed.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and will be stated in the quote or booking confirmation. Unless the quote says otherwise, the price includes only the equipment, installation and other services expressly listed in the quote.
The price does not automatically include building work, electrical work, structural alterations, permissions, making good, specialist access equipment, additional visits or other work not expressly included.
Any deposit, balance and payment deadlines will be stated in the quote or booking confirmation. Where a deposit is required, the booking may not be confirmed until it has been paid. Unless agreed otherwise, the balance is due by the time stated in the booking confirmation.
For business customers, if payment is overdue we may suspend or postpone the work and charge interest or compensation where permitted by law. For consumer customers, we will not seek to impose charges that are not permitted by applicable law.
Your responsibilities
You must:
- provide accurate information about the site, the intended installation and your requirements;
- ensure that we can access the site at the agreed time;
- obtain any landlord, freeholder, venue, planning, building or other permissions needed for the installation;
- provide a safe and suitable working area;
- ensure that suitable electrical power and other facilities identified in the quote are available;
- tell us about hazards, restrictions, fragile surfaces, concealed services and other relevant site conditions;
- ensure that an authorised adult representative is available where reasonably required; and
- follow reasonable instructions concerning the use and care of the installed system.
You are responsible for arranging any electrical or building work that is not included in the quote. We may refuse or stop work if the site is unsafe, access is unavailable, the required power is not available, or the necessary permissions have not been obtained.
If your failure to meet these responsibilities causes delay, additional visits or additional work, we may charge for the resulting work and costs where this has been agreed with you or is otherwise permitted by law.
Scheduling and delays
We will agree an intended installation date or time window with you. We will make reasonable efforts to attend as agreed, but dates and times may need to change because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including access problems, unsafe conditions, equipment availability, illness, transport disruption or delays caused by third parties.
If we need to change the date, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and arrange another date. If you need to change the date, please contact us as soon as possible. We may charge reasonable, agreed costs caused by late changes or a missed appointment where permitted by law.
We will not be responsible for delay caused by your acts or omissions, including unavailable access, missing permissions, unsuitable power or inaccurate site information.
Consumer cancellation rights
This section applies to consumers who contract with us at a distance or away from our business premises, unless a legal exception applies.
You normally have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14-day period normally starts on the day after the contract is formed.
To cancel, you must tell us clearly before the cancellation period ends. You may email admin@jaimebeatsystems.co.uk or write to us at 18 sycamore close, London, e164qp. You may use clear wording stating that you wish to cancel, although no particular form is required.
If you asked us to begin the installation service during the 14-day cancellation period, you must pay a proportionate amount for the work properly carried out up to the time you told us that you were cancelling. This amount will reflect the part of the service already provided compared with the full service agreed.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period after your express request and confirmation that you would lose your cancellation right once the contract was fully performed, you may lose the right to cancel.
Where you cancel lawfully, we will make any refund due without undue delay and normally using the original payment method. We may withhold a refund until goods supplied by us have been returned, where the law permits this.
The statutory cancellation right does not affect any other rights you have under consumer law.
Equipment and installation
Equipment supplied as part of the installation will be identified in the quote or booking confirmation. We may use suitable equivalent equipment where this is agreed with you or where a particular item is unavailable and the replacement does not materially reduce the agreed service.
Installation work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. We may need to use existing surfaces, cabling, power supplies or other site features. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or failures in items that we did not supply or install.
You must not alter, move or interfere with the installed system in a way that causes damage or affects its operation. If you ask us to return to correct a problem caused by your actions, a third party or unsuitable site conditions, we may charge for that work where permitted by law.
Workmanship and defects
If our installation work is defective, tell us as soon as reasonably possible with details of the problem. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, take reasonable steps to repair, reperform or otherwise remedy the defective work.
These terms do not reduce your statutory rights. Consumer services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where a consumer service does not conform to the contract, the remedies provided by that Act may apply, including repeat performance or a price reduction where appropriate.
Nothing in these terms requires you to accept an attempted remedy that is not legally adequate.
Manufacturer warranties
Where equipment is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, we will pass on to you the benefit of that warranty where we are able to do so. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms, exclusions and claims process.
A manufacturer’s warranty does not replace your statutory rights. We will not describe a manufacturer’s warranty as limiting rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability
We will be responsible for losses that are reasonably foreseeable and caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited; or
- your statutory rights as a consumer.
For business customers, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings or loss of goodwill.
For business customers, our total liability arising from a booking will not exceed the total amount paid or payable for the services under that booking, except where such a limit is not permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms makes a consumer responsible for loss or damage that the law says we must be responsible for.
Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us promptly at admin@jaimebeatsystems.co.uk or write to 18 sycamore close, London, e164qp. Please include your name, booking details and a description of the issue.
We will review the complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable time. We may ask for photographs, access to the installation or other information needed to investigate the issue.

General terms
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
A failure or delay by either party in enforcing a right does not amount to a waiver of that right.
These terms do not give rights to anyone who is not a party to the contract, except where the law provides otherwise.
Governing law and courts
These terms and any contract between us are governed by the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes. Consumers may also have any additional rights to bring proceedings in another court where mandatory law gives them that right.
